On Thursday, the New York Times hit a new low when it claimed that President Donald Trump has lied 85 more times in his first year in office than Barack Obama did during the eight years he was in office.
“In his first 10 months in office, he (Trump) has told 103 separate untruths, many of them repeatedly. Obama told 18 over his entire eight-year tenure. That’s an average of about two a year for Obama and about 124 a year for Trump,” according to the Times’ op-ed.
The Daily Caller reported that the Times explained that it’s definition of the word “lie,” as it pertains to the article, is “demonstrably false statements.” However, we found a few lies of Obama’s that the Times conveniently forgot about.
“I have not said that I was a single-payer supporter because, frankly, we historically have had a employer-based system in this country with private insurers, and for us to transition to a system like that I believe would be too disruptive,” Obama said in 2009. Six years before, Obama expressed his support for a single-payer healthcare system during a fundraising event hosted by the AFL-CIO in 2003.
“I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal healthcare plan,” Obama told the crowd.
“The other thing we’ve done is to state, what are the basic needs of private venture? A great deal of time, one of the greatest difficulties is to ensure that you, as a sole proprietor, that you can get medical coverage for you and your family,” Obama said. “So when you find out about the Affordable Care Act — Obamacare — and I wouldn’t fret the name since I truly do mind. That is the reason we passed it. You should realize that once we have completely actualized, you will have the capacity to purchase protection through a pool with the goal that you can get an indistinguishable decent rates from a gathering that in case you’re a representative at a major organization you can get at this moment — which implies your premiums will go down.”
Be that as it may, premiums for both Obamacare and manager based medical coverage designs expanded relentlessly after Obama’s 2012 proclamation.
Amid his goodbye address in January of this current year, Obama lied by saying that, “Medicinal services Costs Are Rising At The Slowest Rate In 50 Years.”
“Today, the economy is developing once more; compensation, wages, home estimations, and retirement accounts are rising once more; destitution is falling once more. The rich are paying a more pleasant offer of charges even as the stock exchange smashs records. The joblessness rate is close to a 10-year low. The uninsured rate has never, ever been lower. Social insurance costs are ascending at the slowest rate in 50 years,” Obama said.
