The one thing Gowdy said he couldn’t forgive was the fact that Mueller and his investigative team broke their oath of secrecy. They revealed confidential information to the CNN, who later wrote about it in one of their reports. They should have known better than to break the law and put their careers in jeopardy.
Recently, Fox News’ Chris Wallace hosted Gowdy on his show. He asked him to share his opinion on the ‘Trump dossier’ and the reports that Hillary Clinton and the DNC funded that dossier. Gowdy responded by saying:
“Well, I’m not an election law expert, Chris, but the good news is you don’t have to be to understand the absurdity of believing that you can launder all of your campaign money by just hiring a law firm. I mean, imagine if you and I were running for Congress and we just hired a law firm and said, hey, you go to all the oppo, you go buy all the television, you go buy all the bumper stickers, you go hire all the experts, and we’re going to launder all of this through a law firm. I can’t think of anything that defeats the purpose of transparency laws more than that.”
Gowdy went ahead to state that all endeavors made by Democrats to undermine President Trump did not work. A dossier loaded with lies was never going to trick anybody. Since we definitely know they were engaged with making the dossier, Democrats should simply approach and uncover who subsidized it, who approved it, who affirmed it.
